Tiger Woods relationship with Don Jr’s daughter Kai Trump revealed amid arrest fallout

Tiger Woods’ personal life has come under renewed public focus in recent weeks, but behind the headlines surrounding his recent arrest, a different narrative is emerging—one centered on family ties and a growing bond within Vanessa Trump’s household.

According to PEOPLE, Woods is now “fully integrated” into Vanessa Trump’s family life and has developed a particularly close relationship with her eldest daughter, Kai Trump. The 50-year-old golf legend, who has been dating Vanessa since 2025, is described by a source familiar with the relationship as deeply connected to the family dynamic.

He’s fully integrated now and especially close with Kai,” the source told PEOPLE, emphasizing the strength of that relationship.

A growing bond with Kai Trump

Kai Trump, 18, is currently finishing high school and pursuing interests in both golf and social media. Her connection with Woods appears to extend beyond casual interaction, with PEOPLE reporting that the two share a notable closeness.

The relationship has also played out publicly. In March, Vanessa and Kai were seen supporting Woods from the sidelines at a Florida golf event, underscoring their involvement in his professional life.

“She’s not leaving him. They’re very close as a family,” the source told PEOPLE, reinforcing that Woods’ presence is now firmly established within the household. The same source added that Vanessa has remained composed despite recent challenges, choosing to stay largely out of the public conversation.

Arrest fallout and family response

Woods’ integration into the family comes at a time of heightened scrutiny following his March 27 arrest near Jupiter Island, Florida. Authorities allege the golfer rolled his SUV, and deputies later reported finding two hydrocodone pills in his possession, according to an affidavit obtained by PEOPLE.

Woods told deputies he has undergone “seven back surgeries and over 20 operations on his leg” and takes prescription medication. He passed a breathalyzer test but, according to authorities, declined to complete a urinalysis that could detect additional substances.

In the aftermath, a Florida judge granted Woods permission to leave the country for treatment.

Despite the incident, PEOPLE reports that the family has remained steady. “Things will settle down,” the source said, noting that Vanessa is “handling it well and just not saying much.”

Support from within the Trump family

The situation has also drawn attention to Woods’ connection with the Trump family. Vanessa, who was married to Donald Trump Jr. from 2005 to 2018, shares five children with him, including Kai.

Another source cited by PEOPLE said the arrest raised some concerns for Donald Trump Jr., but emphasized that he has remained supportive of both Woods and Vanessa, particularly with the children as his priority.

Woods also maintains a longstanding relationship with former President Donald Trump. Bodycam footage obtained by PEOPLE shows Woods speaking on the phone shortly after the crash, later telling a deputy he had been “just talking to the president.”

In comments to the New York Post, the president described Woods as being under “tremendous physical pressure” due to ongoing health issues and referred to him as a “very close friend” and an “amazing person.”

As public attention continues to follow Woods’ legal and professional developments, PEOPLE’s reporting highlights a parallel story—one defined less by controversy and more by his evolving role within Vanessa Trump’s family, and in particular, his growing connection with Kai.
