Maria Bartiromo has made a meaningful public appearance after her unexpected departure from Fox News Media, sharing photographs and video from a night that clearly meant a great deal to her.
The veteran financial journalist recently posted a collection of joyful moments from a Columbus Day celebration, where she joined guests in honoring a remarkable American whose life story has touched many people.
Bartiromo was seen smiling alongside attendees in formal attire and celebrating with 105-year-old World War II veteran Dominick Critelli. In another video, Critelli appeared onstage performing before a packed room of guests.
“What an honor” Bartiromo wrote as she thanked Critelli for his service and celebrated Italian American values and heritage.
Maria honors a remarkable World War II veteran
Bartiromo shared several posts from the special gathering, including a close photograph with Critelli surrounded by guests.
In one post, she described him as a “105-year-old WWII hero veteran” and thanked him for his service. She also thanked Nia M. Iotakis and the Columbus Citizens Foundation for celebrating Italian American values and heritage.
Another video captured Critelli seated onstage while performing for the audience at the Columbus Citizens Foundation gala. Bartiromo praised his “incredible service and talent,” while attendees stood and watched the moment unfold.
A separate clip showed Bartiromo and others gathered close to Critelli, smiling and cheering as they marked the occasion together.
The posts offered followers a positive new glimpse of Bartiromo as she continues to share meaningful moments following her Fox News departure.
Her first weeks after leaving Fox News
The appearance comes after a major change in Bartiromo’s television career.
Fox News Media announced last month that her more than 12-year run with the company had ended. Bartiromo later addressed the news herself, thanking friends, followers and supporters for the messages they had sent.
“I am so grateful for the outpouring of love,” she wrote in an Instagram post.
She also gave supporters reason to believe she is already looking ahead. “I promise to be back soon w my next moves,” she said, while a similar message on X ended with the words, “More to come.”
Bartiromo did not announce a new job or reveal exactly what those future plans will involve. Her attorney, Bryan Freedman, has also strongly disputed reports that she was fired, saying claims that she was no longer a Fox employee were “absolutely and unequivocally false.”
For now, Bartiromo has kept the focus on gratitude, her supporters and the meaningful people she has met along the way.
Fans say how much they miss Maria
The comments beneath Bartiromo’s Columbus Day posts included plenty of praise for Critelli, with followers calling his appearance “amazing,” “beautiful” and “touching.”
But many also took the opportunity to tell Bartiromo how much they miss seeing her on television.
“We miss you Maria!” one follower wrote. Another added, “Happy Columbus Day Maria! We miss you in the morning girl!”
“I love and miss you Maria… cannot wait to see you on TV again,” another commenter said.
Others shared messages of support for both Bartiromo and Critelli, with one fan writing, “God bless him!” and another praising the tribute to “a true hero.”
Maria Bartiromo’s latest posts may have centered on a memorable celebration and a remarkable veteran, but the response showed that her longtime viewers are still eagerly waiting to see where she appears next.
