ESPN president of content Burke Magnus issued his own statement Tuesday, praising Qerim as an “encouraging teammate” who left a mark on the company’s flagship debate show.

Qerim, 41, has been with ESPN since 2006, covering college football and fantasy football before taking over First Take in 2015. Alongside Stephen A. Smith and a rotating panel of analysts, she became a consistent face of the show’s high-energy debates.
