Nicole Kidman has once again found herself making headlines after being photographed spending time with businessman Michael Reinstein during a relaxing getaway in Portofino, Italy.
The Oscar-winning actress was seen enjoying drinks by the pool with the private equity investor, with new photos capturing the pair sharing smiles, conversation and several lighthearted moments at the Belmond Splendido Hotel.
The outing comes months after Kidman’s divorce from longtime husband Keith Urban was finalized and has drawn fresh attention to her private life.
Relaxed moments by the pool
According to Page Six, Kidman and Reinstein spent time together poolside while sipping Aperol Spritzes and unwinding at the luxury Italian hotel.
The actress was photographed wearing a white cover-up over a blue bikini, along with white shorts, Chanel flats and a wide-brimmed straw hat. Reinstein opted for a navy collared shirt, matching swim shorts, sneakers and sunglasses.
The photos captured several candid moments throughout the afternoon. In one image, Reinstein playfully lifted Kidman’s hat from her face, while another showed the two chatting closely from neighboring pool chairs. They were also photographed laughing together, sharing a high-five and leaving the pool area, with Kidman carrying a small straw bag.
The latest images offered another glimpse of the pair together after they were previously photographed talking outside Kidman’s hotel room during the same trip.
Who is Michael Reinstein?
Reinstein is a Los Angeles native and the founder of Regent, a global private equity firm established in 2013, where he serves as chairman and chief investment officer.
Neither Kidman nor Reinstein has publicly commented on the nature of their relationship. Page Six reported that it contacted the actress’s representative for comment.
According to the Daily Mail, Kidman traveled to Italy with her daughters, Sunday, 18, and Faith, 15.
Moving forward after divorce
The Portofino getaway comes after Kidman ended her nearly two-decade marriage to Keith Urban. The actress filed for divorce in September 2025, and the former couple finalized the proceedings in January after agreeing to waive child and spousal support.
The Daily Mail also cited a source who said Kidman is focused on finding “happiness” following the divorce.

“She never thought her marriage wouldn’t work out and she tried as best as she could to keep her family intact,” the source said. “Her daughters are her best friends, and she seems really content in her life.”
The same source described Kidman as someone who keeps her private life out of the spotlight, adding, “She’s so easy to get along with and kind. She keeps her personal life extremely private.”
Earlier this year, Kidman addressed the next chapter of her life during an interview with Variety, saying she is “always going to be moving toward what’s good.”
“What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That’s that,” she added.
In February, Page Six also reported that a source described Kidman as “a single woman” despite reports linking her to businessman Paul Salem, adding that her primary focus remained on her children.
