Inter is very close to becoming one of the participants in the 2025 Club World Cup.
The new format includes 32 total teams, with 12 coming from Europe, among which some are already qualified. Indeed, the confirmed participants are Chelsea (the 2021 Champions League winner), Real Madrid (the 2022 Champions League winner), and Manchester City, who triumphed in the final against Inter last year. Additionally, the winner of this season’s 2023/24 Champions League will also secure a spot.
OTHER QUALIFIED TEAMS
Beyond the Champions League winners, they will be joined by the top eight teams with the most points in the ranking related to their participation in the Champions League over the last four seasons.
Bayern Munich and PSG are already guaranteed places with 90 and 70 points, respectively. Currently, Inter has 65 points and is the first Italian club very close to qualifying.
Outside Europe, teams like Al-Hilal (Saudi Arabia), Urawa Red Diamonds (Japan), Al Ahly (Egypt), Wydad Casablanca (Morocco), Monterrey (Mexico), Seattle Sounders (USA) León (Mexico), Palmeiras (Brazil) amd Flamengo (Brazil) are also all qualified.
