Taylor Swift cuts off fiancé Travis Kelce’s father weeks before the wedding

As wedding speculation surrounding Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce continues to grow, new reports suggest the couple is going to extraordinary lengths to keep their plans private — even within their own families.

According to the Daily Mail, Swift has reportedly taken personal control of nearly every aspect of the wedding process alongside Kelce and a wedding planner, while intentionally limiting how much information is shared with relatives and friends.

One of the most talked-about details involves Travis Kelce’s father, Ed Kelce, who sources claim has been kept away from sensitive wedding information because of concerns that private details could become public.

A source described Ed as “sort of like a loose cannon,” adding that family members are unsure what he may publicly reveal. The concern reportedly stems from comments he previously made after the couple’s engagement, when he openly discussed how Kelce proposed to Swift and shared details about the moment with several media outlets.

At the time, Ed recalled that the couple FaceTimed family members shortly after the proposal and described the setting where Kelce asked the pop star to marry him.

A Highly Controlled Wedding Process

Reports claim Swift has adopted an unusually strict approach to privacy as planning moves forward. According to the Daily Mail, no physical save-the-date invitations have been mailed out, with the singer instead reportedly contacting guests herself.

Sources also alleged that slightly different information is being shared with different invitees as a way to identify where potential leaks may originate.

The heightened secrecy reportedly extends beyond family members. Kylie Kelce, who is married to Travis Kelce’s brother Jason Kelce, recently admitted on her podcast that she has not been given details about the ceremony.

The couple’s efforts to maintain control over information are reportedly tied not only to privacy concerns, but also to security. Swift has dealt with stalking incidents and security threats throughout her career, and sources told the outlet that fewer than ten people allegedly know the exact wedding location and date.

Reports of a Massive Guest List

While details surrounding the ceremony remain tightly guarded, reports suggest the guest list itself may be far from small.

According to one source quoted by the Daily Mail, invitations have allegedly gone out to people with only minimal connections to the couple, sparking criticism from some insiders who reportedly viewed the approach as excessive.

The singer even publicly mentioned inviting British broadcasters Greg James and Graham Norton during promotional appearances for her latest album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”

Despite the speculation, neither Swift nor Kelce has publicly confirmed any wedding date or location.

Rumors have circulated that the ceremony could take place in New York City later this summer, though reports indicate the couple was unhappy after those details allegedly leaked online.

For now, the wedding itself remains one of entertainment’s most closely guarded celebrity events — and if the latest reports are accurate, Swift appears determined to keep it that way.
