While discussing a segment focused on younger Americans, Doocy shifted the conversation to his own household and introduced a family photo featuring his two children. He then delivered the news on air, telling viewers that another baby is on the way.

Doocy also shared that the baby is due on the birthday of his father, Steve Doocy, the longtime Fox & Friends co-host. He added that the newest member of the family is expected to arrive in time for upcoming midterm election coverage.

A graphic displayed during the broadcast showed a family photograph alongside a message announcing that “Baby Doocy #3” is on the way.

A growing family celebrates another milestone

The announcement quickly drew attention from colleagues, viewers, and Fox News programs. The Sunday Briefing later highlighted the moment on social media, congratulating the family and noting that George and Bridget will soon have a new sibling.

For Peter Doocy and Hillary Vaughn, the news marks another major milestone in a growing family that has already celebrated several memorable moments in recent years.

Their son, George Jack Doocy, was born on April 16, 2025. According to details previously shared by the couple, Vaughn endured 30 hours of labor before his arrival.

The date carried additional significance because it also marked the couple’s fourth wedding anniversary. At the time, Doocy joked that his son had ensured he would never forget to buy his wife an anniversary card.

George joined older sister Bridget, who was born in 2023 and made the couple first-time parents.

Following George’s birth, Vaughn reflected on the experience and revealed that she had been reporting from Capitol Hill on Tax Day before learning it was time to head to the hospital. She later joked that perhaps her son had simply grown tired of hearing her talk about taxes.

Vaughn also described the expansion of their family as a blessing, saying that giving their children siblings meant providing them with lifelong best friends. She added that the arrival of a new heartbeat in their home had filled their hearts with even more love.

Balancing family life and a high-profile career

Away from family life, Doocy has become one of the most recognizable reporters at Fox News. He joined the network in 2009 and built his profile through coverage of presidential campaigns before eventually becoming the network’s Senior White House Correspondent.

He is also part of one of Fox News’ best-known broadcasting families. His father, Steve Doocy, has spent years as a familiar face on Fox & Friends, making the timing of the expected arrival especially meaningful.
