White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has offered a new glimpse into life at home, sharing fresh photos of her daughter Viviana as the newborn celebrated her first month.

A look inside life away from the podium

Alongside the family photos, Leavitt also shared some of the meals she has been preparing at home.

One social media post featured a salad recipe that she said had been requested by followers. According to Leavitt, the dish included romaine lettuce, spinach, watermelon, cucumber, almonds, dried cranberries, and feta cheese, finished with olive oil and lemon.

She also showcased a sweet potato casserole topped with marshmallows, describing it as both her favorite dish and a favorite of her son.

The collection of posts highlighted everyday family moments as Leavitt continues her time away from public duties following her daughter’s birth.

Family focus during maternity leave

The latest update follows previous comments from Leavitt about enjoying what she described as a “newborn bubble” with her family after welcoming Viviana.

She first announced her pregnancy in December 2025 and referred to her daughter as “the greatest Christmas gift.”

Leavitt, who is the youngest person to serve as White House press secretary, has not publicly stated when she plans to return to the briefing room.

Earlier, she expressed gratitude to President Donald Trump and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, saying she was “extremely grateful” for what she described as a pro-family environment within the administration.

While no formal replacement has been named during her absence, deputy press secretary Anna Kelly is expected to handle some responsibilities, with assistant press secretaries Taylor Rogers and Liz Huston also among those who could appear at briefings.

Leavitt’s maternity leave has previously attracted public attention because she returned to work only days after the birth of her son, Niko, during Trump’s presidential campaign. She also postponed her most recent leave plans following another alleged threat against Trump that required her participation in a White House briefing.

For now, however, the focus of her latest update remained firmly on family life, with Viviana’s first month providing a reason for celebration at home.
