After a challenging beginning for Bond, the Bure family is now celebrating his arrival home while looking forward to another grandchild joining the family.
Candace Cameron Bure is celebrating a joyful new chapter after her son Lev Bure and his wife, Elliott, welcomed their first child.
The couple’s son, Bond Leo Bure, was born on August 4, 2026, arriving 10 weeks before his expected delivery date and weighing exactly 3 lbs.
After spending five weeks and five days in the neonatal intensive care unit, Bond was finally able to leave the hospital and join his parents at home.
Lev and Elliott publicly announced their son’s arrival through an Instagram post on September 27, sharing an early glimpse of the newborn and describing the emotional weeks that followed his premature birth.
Bond’s parents celebrate bringing him home
Elliott explained that Bond was transferred to the NICU immediately after his arrival. The first-time mother reflected on the tears, prayers and long hours the family experienced before they were finally allowed to take him home.
“Through lots of tears, countless prayers, and what felt like endless hours in the hospital, 5 weeks and 5 days later we finally brought our miracle boy home,” she wrote.
Elliott also thanked the medical professionals who cared for Bond during his hospitalization, as well as the wider community that supported the family.
“Thank you to the entire staff of nurses and doctors who took the most incredible care of our baby, and to our community who we couldn’t have done any of it without,” she wrote.
The new mother concluded her message by thanking Jesus for the family’s answered prayers and describing them as “blessed beyond measure.”
Candace embraces her new role
Bure, 50, expressed her happiness in the comments beneath the announcement and described her grandson as a miracle.
“Bond Leo is a miracle baby,” the Full House alum wrote. “Our hearts could not be more full of love.”
She also praised Lev and Elliott as parents and assured them that the family would be present throughout their journey.
“You and Lev are the most amazing parents — and we are here for every minute of it,” she added.
Bond’s arrival officially makes Bure a grandmother for the first time, a role she had previously said she dreamed of experiencing.
Bure had expressed her excitement when Lev and Elliott announced their pregnancy in May. The couple shared photographs of themselves holding a sonogram and revealed that “baby Bure” was on the way.
Lev and Elliott married in January 2024 after Bure confirmed their engagement in November 2023.
Another baby is joining the family
The family’s celebrations are continuing as Bure’s daughter, Natasha Bure Perry, is also expecting her first child with her husband, Bradley Perry.
Natasha and Bradley announced their pregnancy several weeks before Lev and Elliott revealed their own news. Reacting to her brother’s announcement, Natasha wrote, “Cutie cousins incoming.”
Following Bond’s birth, Natasha described her nephew as a “perfect boy,” while Bradley called him a “perfect little guy.”
Bure previously told People that watching Natasha prepare for motherhood was “one of the greatest gifts” she had received.
“This year is already becoming one of the best of my life,” she said, adding that the family was filled with love as it prepared to welcome its newest members.
