Ainsley Earhardt returned to Fox & Friends on Tuesday with an answer to a question about her newly married life: would she begin using Sean Hannity’s surname?
The Fox News host, 50, married Hannity, 64, in Palm Beach, Florida, on Saturday. Three days later, she was back alongside her colleagues, discussing the celebration and explaining how she plans to handle her name.
According to The U.S. Sun, Earhardt said she will take Hannity’s surname personally while continuing to use Ainsley Earhardt on television.

Her explanation included a playful observation about sharing a network with her husband.
“I am so proud to be Mrs. Hannity”
The conversation began when co-host Lawrence Jones asked whether viewers should expect a name change following the wedding.
Earhardt said she and Hannity had already discussed the decision.

“We have talked about it, I will take his last name for my personal life, and I am so proud to be Mrs. Hannity,” she said.
She revealed that she had already begun embracing the name in messages to the people closest to her.
“I have pretty much signed every text people have sent me, love Mrs. Hannity,” she added.
For Earhardt, using her husband’s surname privately is a part of married life she has welcomed enthusiastically.
During the broadcast, she also expressed pride in being Hannity’s wife and spoke about wanting to love and serve him throughout their life together.
Why viewers will still know her as Ainsley Earhardt
Her personal decision will not mean a new name on the morning show.
Earhardt explained that she intends to keep the professional identity familiar to viewers, offering a lighthearted reason for the distinction.

“But for TV, I think at Fox, there is room for only one Hannity,” she joked.
“So I think I will be Ainsley Earhardt forever on TV.”
The comments clarified that she plans to use the two names in different settings: Hannity in her personal life and Earhardt for her television work.
Her return to Fox & Friends gave her an opportunity to explain that choice herself while sharing her excitement about the wedding.
A wedding weekend surrounded by family and friends
Earhardt and Hannity exchanged vows at the Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach, the same church where, according to The U.S. Sun, Hannity proposed during Christmas 2024.
The bride wore an Oscar de la Renta gown, while Hannity chose a white tuxedo jacket and black trousers. A reception followed at the Everglades Club.
Guests included Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Eric and Lara Trump, and several Fox News colleagues.
President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump attended Friday’s pre-wedding celebration at Mar-a-Lago but were not present at Saturday’s ceremony.

The couple, who have three children between them from previous marriages, announced their engagement in December 2024.
Following the wedding, they shared a joint statement expressing their happiness.
“Our hearts are overflowing with love and gratitude as we begin this new chapter together as husband and wife,” they said.
Back on television, Earhardt made clear that she is embracing “Mrs. Hannity” while keeping the name audiences have known throughout her broadcasting career.
