Peter Doocy and Hillary Vaughn have welcomed another baby into their family, becoming parents of three after the arrival of daughter Molly Kate on October 22.

The couple’s newborn joins older siblings Bridget, 3, and George, 18 months, giving the family a new milestone to celebrate just a few years after Doocy and Vaughn first became parents.

Molly Kate arrived at 10:04 p.m., with Vaughn telling PEOPLE that their “hearts are bursting with joy” now that their daughter is finally home with them.

Doocy, 39, and Vaughn, 37, have been married since April 2021 after meeting while working at Fox News.

Peter got the call just before going live

Molly Kate’s arrival came on a day that was already busy for Doocy.

He told PEOPLE that Vaughn called to tell him the baby was on the way just one minute before anchors were preparing to toss to him for a 9 a.m. live shot.

“I don’t think I’ve ever talked through a script so fast,” Doocy recalled.

Once the segment ended, he said he quickly grabbed his bag and sprinted toward the White House gate.

“I’m sure [that] raised some eyebrows in the Secret Service guard shack,” he joked.

Hours later, Molly Kate was born, bringing a dramatic end to a day that had begun with Doocy preparing for work.

Vaughn described the family’s joy after finally getting to hold their daughter, saying she was “adored from head to toe.”

Doocy added that their home immediately felt much fuller once they returned with the baby and settled her into the nursery they had spent months preparing.

“She arrived a few days after the due date — but just in time for midterm election results,” he said.

“We are so grateful she is here, and we are so excited to be Doocy, Party of Five!”

Bridget and George meet their baby sister

Introducing Molly Kate to her older siblings did not go exactly as planned.

Vaughn said she and Doocy had imagined a picture-perfect first meeting, but the reality quickly turned into what she called “quintessential toddlerhood.”

George became emotional when he saw the newborn.

“George started crying … then Molly Kate started crying… and Bridget was on the brink of joining the chorus,” Vaughn told PEOPLE.

After the initial surprise, however, George began embracing his new role as a big brother.

Vaughn said Bridget was equally excited about having a younger sister and was already looking forward to sharing her bow collection with Molly Kate.

The couple’s expanding family has grown quickly in recent years.

They welcomed Bridget in February 2023 before George arrived in April 2025.

George’s birth came on Doocy and Vaughn’s fourth wedding anniversary, something Doocy later joked would make the date impossible to forget.

“Thank you, son, for being the reason I’ll never forget to pick up a card for Hillary when I’m picking out a birthday card for you,” he said at the time.

Another new chapter for the Doocy family

Vaughn previously joked about the learning curve that came with becoming a mother to a boy after George was born.

Now, with Molly Kate’s arrival, she and Doocy are adjusting to life with three young children.

Their growing family has also been a source of excitement for Peter’s father, Steve Doocy.

After George was born, the Fox & Friends traveling co-host spoke about how much he enjoyed being a grandfather and said his role was to spoil his grandchildren.

“But what I see beyond that is the unconditional love that the kids show to their grandparents and vice versa,” Steve told PEOPLE.

For Peter and Hillary, Molly Kate’s arrival marks another major family milestone as Bridget and George settle into their new roles and the couple begins life as a family of five.
