Laura Ingraham has explained why she missed several days of her Fox News program, including an important anniversary for The Ingraham Angle.
The host told viewers that laryngitis kept her off the air for three days, including Friday, October 30, when her show marked nine years on the network.
In a message shared on X, Ingraham apologized for her absence, thanked the people behind the program and shared when she expected to return.
Laura shares a health update with viewers
Ingraham acknowledged that her illness had arrived at an inconvenient moment, preventing her from being on air for the anniversary.
“Sorry because of laryngitis I missed the past three days (terrible timing!), and especially today’s 9 year anniversary of the Ingraham Angle,” she wrote.

She also used the occasion to recognize the audience and staff who have supported the program.
“Thank you to our loyal viewers, dedicated staff, and @FoxNews! Back from New York on Monday night. Vote!” she added.
Ingraham said she planned to return from New York on Monday night, though her post did not provide a further update on her recovery.
A celebration away from the studio
Alongside her message, Ingraham shared a photograph of flowers, a card and four specially made cookies marking the anniversary.
One cookie featured an image of the host inside a television screen, while another displayed the words “The Ingraham Angle 9 Years.”
The celebration looked different from the previous year, when the show marked its eighth anniversary with a retrospective of memorable moments.
That segment included interviews with President Donald Trump, notable moments from Ingraham’s broadcasts and an exchange with contributor Raymond Arroyo about the Netflix series You.
Nine years of The Ingraham Angle
Ingraham’s absence came in the days leading up to the November 3 midterm elections, as Fox News was covering the approaching vote.
While her own program reached its ninth anniversary this year, her association with Fox News began earlier. She joined the network as a contributor in 2007 before launching The Ingraham Angle.

Before her television career, Ingraham practiced law and served as a Supreme Court law clerk for Justice Clarence Thomas.
In her anniversary message, she directed her appreciation to the viewers, staff and network who have been part of the show’s journey.
