Fox News Colleagues Celebrate the Happy Arrival

The announcement was made during Monday’s edition of Fox & Friends, with Fox News correspondent Ashley Strohmier sharing the family’s exciting update.

We are so happy to report both mom and baby are doing great,” Strohmier said before revealing that baby Harrison had officially joined his older brother, Brock.

She also commented on the brothers’ resemblance, saying she believed the two boys looked very similar, while congratulating Shimkus and her family on the newest addition.

Ainsley Earhardt, who recently visited Shimkus in hospital after the birth, also shared her excitement during the broadcast.

Earhardt said the Fox News host looked “amazing” when she met the newborn and added that, in her opinion, Harrison resembles his father, Peter Buchignani, while Brock takes after his mother.

Steve Doocy also joined in the celebration, joking about how quickly Brock has grown since becoming a big brother.

The birth was met with warm congratulations from Shimkus’ Fox News colleagues, who celebrated the family’s newest milestone on air.

A Growing Family

Shimkus first announced she was expecting her second child during a March broadcast alongside her Fox & Friends colleagues.

At the time, she revealed that she and Buchignani were expecting another boy and shared how excited the family was to welcome a younger brother for Brock.

“My husband and I and Brock, my son, who’s now three, are so excited,” she said during the announcement.

She also expressed her hope that her two sons would grow up sharing a close bond throughout their lives, describing the pregnancy as “such a blessing from God.”

Before Harrison’s arrival, Shimkus reflected on her family’s journey by posting a collection of photographs featuring Brock on Instagram.

“As we are getting ready to welcome a new baby, I am reflecting on so many happy memories as a family of three with my very funny, high energy boy,” she wrote. “I can’t wait to meet the little one who will grow our hearts even more!”

From New Jersey Wedding to a Family of Four

Shimkus and Buchignani began dating in 2013 before marrying in an intimate ceremony in her home state of New Jersey two years later.

Their first child, Brock, was born in January 2023. Announcing his arrival at the time, the couple wrote, “Welcome to the world, sweet Brock. You have unlocked a place in our hearts we didn’t even know we had.”

Now, with Harrison’s birth, the couple has entered another exciting chapter as parents of two young sons.

During Monday’s broadcast, Brian Kilmeade also revisited a conversation Shimkus had shared before giving birth, when she spoke about considering a move away from New York City as her family continued to grow.

Kilmeade joked about whether the family would eventually settle in New Jersey or Long Island, referencing previous discussions about relocating.

Meanwhile, viewers joined the celebration across social media, sharing messages of congratulations and wishing the growing family well.

With Harrison’s arrival, Carley Shimkus and Peter Buchignani are celebrating another memorable milestone, surrounded by the support of colleagues, friends and viewers as they welcome the newest member of their family.
