The official figures of the club prizes for the last Champions League: Inter among the top 5 with winnings over 100 million.
In the Financial Report for the 2022/2023 season, UEFA officially announced the prizes distributed to clubs for the previous year’s European competitions: the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League.
According to Calcio & Finanza, the total prizes distributed to the four Italian clubs in the Champions League – Inter, Milan, Juventus, and Napoli – amount to nearly โฌ321 million, showing a significant increase compared to the โฌ218 million of the 2021/22 season (+47%).
Inter is the team that earned the most. By reaching the final in Istanbul on June 10th of last year, Inter received over 101 million euros.
The ‘Nerazzurri’ club earned โฌ15.64 million for participation, โฌ15.918 million for their historical ranking, โฌ10.573 million for the Market Pool, โฌ10.026 million in result-related bonuses, and bonuses for various stages: round of 16 (โฌ9.6 million), quarter-finals (โฌ10.6 million), semi-finals (โฌ12.5 million), and final (โฌ15.5 million), plus โฌ0.932 million (adjustment), totaling โฌ101.289 million.
Only four clubs besides Zhang’s team surpassed the โฌ100 million mark: Manchester City (the winner, nearly โฌ135 million), Real Madrid (โฌ118 million), Bayern Munich (โฌ108 million), and PSG (โฌ101 million).
