Milan to sell Krunic in January and buy either Jonathan David or Stuttgart’s goal-machine Guirassy

Milan plans to sell Krunic and acquire one of either Jonathan David or the prolific goal-scorer Guirassy.

At the end of August, facing an intense interest from Fenerbahce, Pioli had requested Rade Krunic to stay at Milan, making him a starter in the process. However, as the winter transfer market approaches, the situation has changed dramatically. Due to his injury, along with the good performances from Musah and Adli, the Bosnian has seen less playing time. Now that Bennacer has returned, Krunic is expected to have even fewer opportunities.

That’s why AC Milan’s objective for the winter transfer window (where they also need to secure at least one central defender) is to sell the former Empoli player to Turkey to finance their pursuit of a striker. Jonathan David from Lille remains the top choice, but Serhou Guirassy‘s odds are also on the rise.

According to ‘Gazzetta dello Sport’, Fenerbahce is ready for a quick visit to Milan in the coming days to negotiate with the club a Krunic deal. The Turkish club has already reached an agreement with the Bosnian midfielder for a contract worth 3 million euros net per season (double his current earnings). Milan hopes to make around โ‚ฌ10 million from the deal, but Fenerbahce won’t offer more than 7.

These funds would then be entirely used to acquire a forward to strengthen their pursuit for the Scudetto in the Serie A. The top preference for Milan’s executives is still the 24-year-old Jonathan David, but the Lille’s asking price of 40 million seems like an insurmountable obstacle.

Therefore, the odds for Guirassy, the 28-year-old Stuttgart striker with impressive Bundesliga statistics (second only to Kane with 18 goals in 13 matches), are rapidly rising at AC Milan. His contract includes a release clause of โ‚ฌ17 million and Milan is considering whether to pay it or not, thus outmaneuvering the competition for the summer.”
