An alleged private message from Kimberly Guilfoyle contains sharp criticism of Bettina Trump, the woman now married to her former fiancé, Donald Trump Jr.
According to an October 8 report by The Daily Beast, Guilfoyle allegedly sent the text to Eric Deters, a former Kentucky congressional candidate. Deters told the outlet that Bettina was the woman being discussed.
The message attributed to Guilfoyle accuses Bettina of seeking attention through a newspaper story, offering a reported glimpse of her reaction to Don Jr.’s new relationship.

Guilfoyle and Don Jr. ended their engagement in 2024, although neither has publicly disclosed exactly when they separated. Bettina, 39, is now his wife.
An alleged message sharply criticizes Bettina
The text begins with its sender insisting that she had enjoyed a Saturday outing and the evening that followed, before dismissing an unspecified account as nonsense.
It then refers to “his ex-wife’s friend” and alleges that the woman sought publicity through the Daily Mail.
“It’s all lies, but she’s a cloud chasing horror that plays the story in the daily mail to get attention,” the message reads.
The Daily Beast noted that the wording may contain typing errors. The outlet suggested that “cloud chasing” could mean “clout chasing,” while “plays the story” might have been intended as “placed the story.”
The reference to an ex-wife’s friend may concern Vanessa Trump, Don Jr.’s former wife, according to the publication.
Deters identified Bettina as the target of the criticism, but the message does not name the particular newspaper report its sender was addressing.
Earlier brunch coverage provides relationship context
The Daily Mail published a report on September 15, 2024, saying that Don Jr. had been seen kissing Bettina during an August 17 brunch that year.
At that point, the public still believed he and Guilfoyle were engaged. The precise timing of their breakup has never been publicly clarified by either of them.

That coverage provides context for the attention surrounding Don Jr. and Bettina’s relationship. However, the alleged text does not establish that the brunch report was the story being criticized.
Guilfoyle, 57, now serves as the U.S. ambassador to Greece. Don Jr., 48, has since married Bettina.
The text emerged from a larger collection of correspondence
The alleged message appears within a 150-page collection containing screenshots, social-media posts, press reports and correspondence between Guilfoyle and Deters, a former lawyer.
Deters has also made separate allegations to The Wall Street Journal. He claimed that Guilfoyle offered to use her connections with the Trump family to assist with his personal tax and legal problems in exchange for his help. He further alleged that she once asked him to pay a $100,000 American Express bill.
Guilfoyle’s attorney, Jesse Binnall, disputed the authenticity of the messages on her behalf.
The reported criticism of Bettina therefore remains an allegation based on a disputed text, rather than an authenticated public statement from Guilfoyle.
