Lisa Boothe has shared reassuring news after followers watched her beloved dog go through a difficult recovery.
The Fox News personality had previously revealed that her small dog needed stitches and would have to wear a protective cone for an additional week after the stitches were removed.
Now, Boothe has offered the happy update followers were hoping for.
In a new Instagram Story, she shared a video of her Cavalier walking around without the cone, looking alert and cheerful. “No more cone! Her ears look kind of crazy, but she’s free!” Boothe wrote alongside the clip.
The update suggested that the protective collar was finally no longer needed, marking a welcome conclusion to the dog’s recovery.
A difficult recovery comes to an end
Boothe first raised concern when she posted a close-up video of her dog resting with a cone around her neck.
At the time, she explained that the stitches had been removed but said the collar needed to stay on for one more week. She did not reveal what had caused the dog’s injury or why stitches were required.
The protective cone became an unexpected part of the dog’s routine as she continued to rest at home. Boothe later shared another playful photo of her dog wearing it, joking from the animal’s perspective: “This is a terrible habit I don’t think I’ll ever be able to break.”
Her newest post, however, brought a much brighter moment. The little dog appeared free to move around comfortably again, with Boothe affectionately noting her slightly wild-looking ears after the cone came off.
