Inside Fox News star Jacqui Heinrich and Brian Fitzpatrick’s stunning New York City wedding

Fox News Senior White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich and Pennsylvania Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick have officially begun a new chapter together after exchanging vows in a wedding that reflected both their personal histories and the families that helped shape them.

The couple married on June 20 during a ceremony at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City before celebrating with family and friends aboard the Horizon’s Edge Yacht.

For Heinrich and Fitzpatrick, the day was designed to honor their shared connections to New York, their family traditions, and the journey that ultimately brought them together.

According to the couple, New York holds a special place in both of their lives. It was Heinrich’s first assignment as a network news reporter and Fitzpatrick’s first assignment as an FBI agent. The city also carries family significance, with Fitzpatrick’s parents tracing their roots to Irish immigrants who arrived through Ellis Island and Heinrich’s great-grandparents having settled in New York after emigrating from Hungary.

A ceremony shaped by family traditions

The couple said they wanted their wedding to reflect the values and traditions that have influenced their lives.

A full Catholic Mass was central to the ceremony, which was officiated by Timothy Cardinal Dolan. They also incorporated several family tributes throughout the celebration.

One of those tributes connected directly to Heinrich’s parents, who were married aboard the Spirit of Boston. That family history helped inspire the decision to host the reception on a yacht following the ceremony.

Another meaningful moment came during the cake-cutting. The couple selected an Irish tune written by Fitzpatrick’s great-uncle, an NYPD officer who was killed in the line of duty. The song served as a tribute to both his memory and the family history that remains important to the couple.

Rather than focusing on elaborate spectacle, the wedding centered on family, heritage, and traditions passed down through generations.

A celebration on the water

Following the ceremony, guests boarded the Horizon’s Edge Yacht for an evening reception overlooking the Manhattan skyline.

The reception embraced what the couple described as an old-New York atmosphere, with a 10-piece brass band providing music throughout the evening as the yacht cruised past landmarks including the Statue of Liberty.

More than 300 guests attended the celebration, where dinner included a choice of Atlantic salmon, French-cut chicken breast, or black angus short ribs.

The newlyweds shared their first dance to Frankie Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” before cutting a three-tier red velvet wedding cake decorated with buttercream rosettes.

Former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy and former Senator Joe Manchin also delivered toasts during the reception.

The story behind the relationship

Heinrich and Fitzpatrick first met while working on Capitol Hill.

Their relationship began after Heinrich moved from covering Congress to covering the White House. Fitzpatrick later invited her to join him at the Kennedy Center Honors, an invitation Heinrich initially clarified to make sure it was truly intended as a date.

According to Heinrich, Fitzpatrick confirmed it was and followed with a series of thoughtful dates that eventually won her over.

The relationship grew from a professional connection into a partnership that both say is strengthened by their understanding of each other’s demanding careers.

The couple explained that their professions require significant commitment and that one of the qualities they most admire in each other is a shared sense of purpose. They said that understanding helps them support one another through busy periods while maintaining a strong relationship away from work.

As they begin married life together, Heinrich and Fitzpatrick also shared that they are looking forward to starting a family.

The couple plans to take a honeymoon in 2027 and are continuing to finalize plans for a future trip to the South of France after an earlier engagement trip was shortened due to congressional obligations.

For Jacqui Heinrich and Brian Fitzpatrick, the wedding marked not only the beginning of married life but also the continuation of a relationship built on shared values, family traditions, and mutual support.
