Salma Hayek Marks Daughter Valentina’s 18th Birthday With Family Celebration and Heartfelt Tribute
Salma Hayek is celebrating a major family milestone as her daughter, Valentina Paloma Pinault, officially turns 18.
The actress shared glimpses of a weekend-long birthday celebration on social media, giving fans a rare look at her family life with husband François-Henri Pinault and their daughter. Among the photos posted online was an uncommon family portrait featuring all three together.
The festivities marked Valentina’s transition into adulthood, with Hayek describing a celebration filled with food, dancing, laughter and time spent with loved ones.
“We ate, we danced, we laughed, we loved… and we kept the party going all weekend,” Hayek wrote on Instagram while sharing photos and videos from the event. She also wished her daughter a happy birthday, adding that celebrating her “never feels long enough.”
A Mother’s Emotional Birthday Message
Before sharing images from the party, Hayek posted a childhood photo of Valentina accompanied by a personal message reflecting on her daughter’s growth over the years.
The actress referred to Valentina as her “beautiful dancing queen” and praised her personality, describing her as someone with a kind heart, a wise soul and a determined spirit.

“So many things have changed in your life, but you are always soooo you,” Hayek wrote. “A kind passionate heart, a wise soul full of magic, a unique unstoppable force of nature with a witty sense of humor and stubborn tenacity.”
Hayek’s message highlighted the close bond she has openly spoken about throughout Valentina’s life.
She concluded the tribute by telling her daughter that despite always seeming older than her years, she would forever remain her “dream daughter.”
Family Has Always Been Central to Hayek
Hayek has previously discussed how meaningful motherhood has been to her, particularly because she once worried she might never have children.
Speaking with People in 2015, the actress reflected on becoming a mother later in life.
“I had my child so late in life,” she said. “I thought I wasn’t going to be able to and it was such an important thing to me.”
At the same time, Hayek explained that maintaining her own career remained important, saying she wanted her children to understand the value of continuing to grow as an individual.
“It’s important that your kids understand that they are the most important thing but it’s not all about them,” she told the outlet. “You set an example that you are also your own person and you have to continue to grow in the field that you are working.”
Along with Valentina, Hayek is also stepmother to François-Henri Pinault’s children François and Mathilde from his marriage to Dorothée Lepère, as well as Augustin, whom he shares with Linda Evangelista.
