A boy who witnessed a crime was called to testify in court.
The defense attorney asked him,
“Did anyone tell you what to say in court today?”
“Yes, sir,” replied the boy.
“I thought so!” said the attorney. “Who told you what to say?”
The boy answered,
“My dad.”
The attorney smiled and asked,
“And what did your father tell you to say?”
The boy replied,
“He said the lawyer would try to confuse me, and if he did a good job, I should tell the truth.”
