Engaged, glowing, and in no rush. That’s the vibe from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, who are riding high on love, but haven’t cracked open a wedding planner just yet.
The couple, both 35, shocked fans on Aug. 26 when they confirmed their engagement with a dreamy photo drop on Instagram. But according to a source close to the pair, wedding planning is on pause for now.
Just engaged — and just enjoying it
“They’re in full celebration mode,” the insider told PEOPLE. “They are not in the wedding planning phase yet.”

Instead, Swift and Kelce are taking time to soak it all in — no pressure, no spreadsheets, just pure post-proposal bliss.
“Right now they just want to enjoy being engaged,” the source added. “And they’re relieved the secret’s finally out.”
Their caption said it all: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨.” The dynamite emoji was a playful nod to their fan-favorite nickname — TNT — and the energy they’ve been bringing since their romance first went public nearly two years ago.
A rose garden, a glass of wine, and a big moment
Though they kept the news quiet for about two weeks, the actual proposal happened in Travis’s backyard and it was surrounded by a stunning floral arrangement.

“They were about to head out to dinner,” Kelce’s dad Ed revealed on an Australian radio show. “Travis suggested they have a glass of wine on the patio first — and when Taylor saw the garden full of flowers, she knew something was up.”
What followed was a picture-perfect moment: wine, roses, and a heartfelt proposal that has since melted hearts around the world.
“These are two young people madly in love with each other,” Ed added. “And I think this is great.”
Family love, keepsakes, and sentimental vibes
Both families are all in. The insider says there were “toasts, happy tears, and everyone is thrilled.”
And Donna Kelce? She’s already gone full mom-mode, saving little things like photos, notes, and flowers to remember the moment.
“She is very sentimental,” the source said. “She wants to remember every detail.”
The engagement also comes hot on the heels of Swift’s recent appearance on Kelce’s New Heights podcast, where she announced her upcoming album “The Life of a Showgirl” which is set to drop Oct. 3.
For now, though, the vibe is simple: two people in love, enjoying the pause before the planning.
And if we’ve learned anything from this couple, it’s that when the time comes, they’ll do it their way and we’ll all be watching.
