Vanessa Trump has announced that she is cancer free, sharing the news alongside her daughter Kai in a video released for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The 48-year-old mother of five appeared in the Instagram video on Friday, October 23, several months after publicly revealing her breast cancer diagnosis.
“[Tests] came back clear so I am finally cancer free,” Vanessa said before exchanging a hug with Kai.
The update marked a welcome milestone after months of surgery, treatment and support from her family.
Vanessa and Kai share the news together
Kai opened the video by explaining that her mother had been diagnosed in April.

“So we thought we would share her story and how she was diagnosed and how she overcame it,” the 19-year-old said.

The clip also featured Dr. Nicole Saphier discussing breast cancer before returning to Vanessa for her announcement.
In the accompanying caption, Kai explained that the conversation was intended to support awareness and education during October.
“I sat down with my mom and Dr. Nicole Saphier to talk about my mom’s journey with breast cancer and learn more about prevention and early detection,” she wrote.
Kai shared the video with her three million Instagram followers and said a longer conversation would be published on her YouTube channel on Saturday, October 24.
Her diagnosis became public in May
Vanessa first announced her breast cancer diagnosis publicly in May, explaining that she had undergone a procedure and was working with her doctors on treatment.
“While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan,” she said at the time.
She thanked the doctors involved in her care and described the encouragement she was receiving from those around her.
“I am staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids and those closest to me,” Vanessa wrote.
“Thank you for your kindness and support, it truly means more than I can express.”
In June, she shared another update, saying she was recovering from surgery and preparing for the next stage of treatment.

Friday’s announcement brought a hopeful new chapter to the health journey she had begun sharing with the public earlier this year.
Vanessa, the former wife of Donald Trump Jr., is currently in a relationship with professional golfer Tiger Woods.
Kai reflects on time spent supporting her mother
Kai has also spoken about how her mother’s diagnosis affected their family, particularly during the summer before she left for college.
Speaking to Fox News from the University of Miami in August, she recalled accompanying Vanessa to treatment and spending additional time together.
“I was very lucky to spend a lot of time with her over the summer, because of cancer and going to treatments with her,” Kai said.
She explained that those hours brought them closer before her move to university.
“It was a blessing in disguise, because I was able to spend extra time with her that I would normally probably spend on the golf course.”
Kai added that she valued having those extra hours with her mother before beginning college life.
Their latest video captured a different moment together: Vanessa sharing that her tests were clear, followed by a hug between mother and daughter.
