Taylor and Travis are getting married and Kayla Nicole just responded. But not with shade. Not exactly.
The 33-year-old model and former NFL insider posted a fiery Instagram Story Friday, just three days after her ex, Travis Kelce, and Taylor Swift shared their engagement photos. The rose-filled proposal itself, however, had taken place two weeks earlier.
Nicole didn’t name names. She didn’t have to.
“Stop playing with me” — and the internet took notice
Wearing a bold, colorful bodysuit, Nicole filmed herself powering through an intense glute and leg workout, set to Gunna’s “Made for This S–t.” Her caption? Short and sharp:

“The goal? A back that says stop f–ing playing with me.”
The timing didn’t go unnoticed. Kelce and Swift’s engagement post, captioned “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨”, had barely stopped trending when Nicole’s clip hit Instagram. And fans were quick to read between the reps.
She also suggested the workout was part of rehabbing a back injury, though the timing and tone of her words made many believe there was more behind the message than just recovery.

Choosing joy — and making peace with the past
Nicole followed up with a softer message, sharing a video of actress Tracee Ellis Ross reflecting on the difference between joy and happiness.
“Happiness is something you can get at 7-Eleven,” Ross says in the clip. “Joy is something you earn and work for… joy creates space.”
Nicole added her own comment: “I read about this years ago in a book called Choose Joy. I aspire. So so good.”

The moment felt intentional — a shift from power pose to inner peace.
“Make me look good”: How Kayla’s handling the headlines
Nicole and Kelce were in an on-and-off relationship from 2017 to 2022. Since then, she’s spoken candidly about how tough it was watching her ex’s love story play out with one of the most famous women in the world.
“If you’re gonna lose, I want to lose to the best team,” she said on her podcast Pre-Game in May. “Make me look good. Right?”
She also admitted the public pressure has been “overwhelming” at times, especially when even harmless posts got dragged into the drama.
Still, Nicole’s tone in recent months has leaned more toward growth than gossip. She’s acknowledged therapy, prioritized mental health, and continues to use her platform to talk about boundaries, healing, and ambition.
Her recent workout post? It might be defiance. It might be resilience. Or maybe it’s just a woman showing up for herself, even when the world is watching someone else’s happy ending.
Either way, she’s not playing anymore.
