Bret Baier’s Wife Amy Stuns in Red Dress as Family Celebrates Son’s Inspiring Health Journey

A Birthday Wish, a Family Triumph, and a Stunning Selfie

Fox News anchor Bret Baier’s wife, Amy Baier, turned heads on Instagram this week. She shared a radiant new photo that mixed glamour with heartfelt family reflections.

In the selfie, Amy, 47, poses alongside friend Amy Phelan, wishing her a happy birthday. Dressed in a curve-hugging red ruched maxi dress, Amy showcased her signature style, pairing the look with a red Hermès bag, gold sandals, aviator sunglasses, and layered gold jewelry.

She topped off the post with “It’s Ya Birthday” by Yung $upreme, adding a festive touch to the already stunning snapshot.

A Family’s Heartfelt Journey

While the post captured a picture-perfect moment, the Baier family’s past year has been anything but ordinary. Bret Baier recently opened up about the couple’s son Paul, 18, and his long battle with congenital heart defects.

Paul was born with five heart defects that weren’t detected before birth.

“His heart was essentially pumping the wrong way, and we didn’t know before birth,” Bret shared in an interview with PEOPLE.

From his first open-heart surgery just days after being born, Paul underwent multiple procedures at 3 months, 10 months, 6 years, and again at 13.

By then, the family thought the hardest chapters were behind them.

A Sudden Scare

In 2024, just as things seemed stable, Amy took Paul to the doctor after he caught a common cold. It was a precaution that led to a life-saving discovery.

An MRI revealed an aneurysm the size of a golf ball near Paul’s heart.

“They sit me down and say, ‘This is a really big deal,’” Bret recalled. “If it burst, it might have been fatal in a matter of minutes.”

Another open-heart surgery followed, even more urgent and stressful than those before.

“It was exponentially more stressful and emergent, and we weren’t prepared for it,” Bret admitted.

Looking Ahead with Gratitude

Thankfully, the operation was successful. Paul is now on the mend, recently celebrating his 18th birthday. It was a milestone that once seemed uncertain.

Amy shared a touching post on Instagram marking the occasion, writing:

“Happy 18th Birthday Paul! I’m so proud of the person you’ve become and so grateful for you every day.”

For Bret and Amy, their focus now is on giving Paul as normal a life as possible.

“Bottom line is, we want him to be a normal kid,” Bret said. “Seventeen years ago, we would be really, really happy to be right here, after that first surgery as a baby.”
