From G League prospect to rising name in Summer League, Bronny James is putting on a show.
Los Angeles Lakers guard Bronny James has been building momentum all summer, and now, NBA fans are starting to take notice. During Monday night’s game against the LA Clippers in Las Vegas, Bronny dropped 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in just 24 minutes of play. And social media lit up.
Bronny’s Best Game Yet?
The Lakers may have lost the game 67–58, but for Bronny, it was a clear step forward.
He shot an efficient 6-for-10 from the field and 3-for-5 from three-point range, looking more confident than ever.
At halftime, he had already posted:
- 12 PTS
- 4 REB
- 3 AST
- Perfect shooting at that point: 100% from the field.
Fans React: “Year 2 About to Be a Movie”
Lakers fans and NBA Twitter didn’t hold back with the compliments:
- “Bronny James looking REALLY COMFORTABLE out there!”
- “Watching Bronny play with this much confidence is beautiful to see.”
- “BRONNY JAMES TONIGHT: 24 minutes, 17 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 3/5 3PT. YEAR 2 ABOUT TO BE A MOVIE.”
One fan even posted:
“Is Bronny James the LeBron James of Las Vegas Summer League?”
Steady Growth Since Year One
This isn’t Bronny’s first flash of potential.
During his final 11 G League appearances last season, he averaged nearly 22 points per game, and he also logged a 17-point performance against the Milwaukee Bucks’ affiliate team.
Now in Vegas, his confidence is showing up in every stat line.
“Bronny cooking under the Vegas lights, bro is on fire,” wrote one fan on X.
“Confidence is growing. Keep going Bronny,” added another.
Lakers Betting on Bronny’s Future
While some doubted Bronny as a second-round pick, the Lakers’ investment seems to be paying off.
- Drafted 55th overall in 2024
- Mostly G League minutes in Year 1
- Now emerging as a potential rotation player under new coach JJ Redick
Bronny himself admitted last week that his focus this summer has been on conditioning, defense, and professionalism and it’s showing.
Year 2 Loading…
The Lakers are currently 1–2 in Las Vegas Summer League, but if Bronny keeps playing like this, don’t be surprised if he carves out real NBA minutes this season.
Because if this is the warm-up?
Year 2 really might be a movie.
