Maignan scares Milan fans: Return to PSG? “In the future everything is possible”

The Milan goalkeeper responded to some question made in France. Is there a chance for PSG retur? Then, regarding the Champions League match against the Parisians: “It will be a great game, just the way we like it.”

Mike Maignan returns to the national team, but Milan is never far from his thoughts. Nor is his Paris. In fact, it’s PSG, where everything began for the Rossoneri goalkeeper, he was trained and raised in the Parisian academy.

Even though the Frenchman chose to build his career elsewhere (Lille and then AC Milan), the French capital club always holds a dear place in his heart. So much so that yesterday, when he returned among his fellow countrymen, he left a door slightly open for a return.

As reported by Le Parisien, Maignan arrived in Villiers-le-Bel, north of the capital, where he started playing between 2003 and 2009 for the local club that also saw players like Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich and Axel Disasi from Chelsea pass through its ranks.

It was a return to his roots to support the local team, giving away jerseys and gloves, signing autographs, posing for selfies, and even answering questions from some kids. In doing so, the goalkeeper mentioned the upcoming Champions League match against PSG and his possible return there:

“I’ve played against them (PSG) before when I was at Lille, so it’s not an unfamiliar ground for me. It will be a great game, played at a high pace, just the way we like it.”

When a young boy asked him if he would ever return to PSG, where he was trained between 2009 and 2015 but never made a first-team appearance, the Frenchman replied, “I’m Parisian, but today, I’m under contract with Milan. As for the future, you can never know.”
