Julia Roberts marked a major family milestone this week by sharing a rare glimpse of her youngest child, Henry, in honor of his 18th birthday. The Pretty Woman star took to Instagram on Wednesday to post a heartfelt tribute alongside a throwback photo of her son—something fans of the famously private actress don’t see often.
“In the blink of a joyful eye this beacon of a boy is ⚡️18⚡️ I love you Henry,” Roberts wrote, adding the hashtags #goldenboy and #goldenbirthday.
In the nostalgic image, a younger Henry is seen wearing a green hoodie, capturing a candid moment from his childhood. Now officially an adult, Henry is the youngest of Roberts’ three children, whom she shares with husband Daniel Moder. The couple, who wed in 2002, also have 20-year-old twins, Hazel and Phinnaeus.

However, May’s Mother’s Day gave followers another rare glimpse, as the star posed in a photo with all three of her kids. Earlier in April, Henry briefly stepped into the public eye when he accompanied his mom to see George Clooney perform in Good Night and Good Luck on Broadway. The pair were spotted arriving at NYC’s Winter Garden Theatre, where Roberts was also seen greeting fans outside the venue.
Parenting as They Grow
In a 2023 interview with Today, Roberts opened up about parenting now that her children are older. “I parent them the same way out of the house that I parented them in the house,” she said. “Text me when you get home so I can see that you’re home safe and sound.”
