The royal couple has always loved animals โ and it seems they may be ready to share that love with a new furry family member.
The Princess of Wales recently won the hearts of the nation once again after sharing a heartfelt video in honor of Mother’s Day. But while her message about motherhood was touching, royal watchers noticed something else โ a possible new addition to the Wales family.
Instead of posting the traditional family photo with her three children, Princess Kate shared a short video along with a personal message celebrating โour connection to the natural world.โ
The clip included footage of Kate and Prince William spending time in Norfolk last summer, with beautiful scenes of the British countryside.
In the video, Kate (43) is seen gently touching the bark of a tree, while Prince William (42) walks barefoot through a field alongside their beloved family dog, Orla โ and another unexpected companion.
Royal fans were quick to spot a second brown cocker spaniel walking next to Orla, sparking speculation that the family may have welcomed a new pet.
Although thereโs been no official statement, many believe the new dog could belong to the Wales family. It’s also possible the pup belongs to Kateโs parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, who were with them when the video was filmed.
โPrincess Catherine has a new puppy,โ one follower pointed out. Another added, โLooks like Orla has a new brother or sister!โ A third person chimed in, โI noticed this last year in the video, but no one seemed to talk about it.โ
The video, filmed by Will Warr in Norfolk last year, may also feature a dog belonging to Kateโs brother, James Middleton, who is a passionate dog lover and experienced cocker spaniel breeder.
Royal Pets
Itโs no secret the royal family has a long history of loving animals. From Queen Elizabeth IIโs famous corgis to the many horses and dogs kept by members of the family, the tradition lives on with the younger generation.
Prince William and Kate currently have a black cocker spaniel named Orla, who joined the family in 2021 as a puppy. Before Orla, they had another English cocker spaniel named Lupo. He was often seen with them at public events like polo matches and even appeared in official family photos, including one for Prince Georgeโs third birthday.
Sadly, Lupo passed away in November 2020 at the age of nine.
Now, it looks like Orla might have a new sibling โ and the Wales family could be growing by one more paw.
