During a White House event on Tuesday, Donald Trump expressed his support for Tesla CEO and advisor Elon Musk, revealing that he had purchased a Tesla Cybertruck in 2024 for his eldest granddaughter, Kai Trump.
The announcement came as Trump, 78, was presented with five Tesla vehicles in Washington, D.C., by Musk.
While speaking on the South Lawn, the president shared that the Cybertruck was a special gift for Kai, the eldest daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife, Vanessa Trump.
“I bought it for a very special young womanโyou probably havenโt heard of her, Kai,” Trump said to reporters. “Sheโs a great golfer, and she puts the clubs in the back. I guess itโs a very safe deal, and she loves it.”
Kai Trump, 17, has been making headlines for both her athletic talent and her growing public profile since her grandfatherโs election win in November.
She is a promising golfer who has committed to playing at the University of Miami after high school. Additionally, she recently signed a sponsorship deal with TaylorMade Golf, aligning herself with top-tier players like Tiger Woods and Nelly Korda.
Trump also emphasized the Cybertruckโs durability, calling it “very safe, very strong, heavyโit’s all steel, stainless steel.”
Kai has previously spoken about her close relationship with her grandfather, particularly their shared passion for golf.
During the Republican National Convention in July, she highlighted how their time on the course has strengthened their bond.
With her rising prominence in both sports and politics, Kai Trump continues to step into the public eyeโnow with a Tesla Cybertruck to match her growing status.
