Oscar winning Actress Susan Sarandon is not giving up on love at 78-years-old

At 78, Susan Sarandon isn’t closing the door on love.

While attending the New York City premiere of her new movie, The Fabulous Four, on July 18, the Thelma & Louise actress shared that she remains open to romance—though not necessarily seeking a long-term partner.

“I’m open to love on every level, absolutely,” Sarandon told Entertainment Tonight. “I wouldn’t say I’m looking for a guy to share my medicine cabinet, but I love an adventurer.” She added that she’s drawn to anyone who is “still curious and passionate.”

Sarandon’s love life has included high-profile relationships. She was married to Chris Sarandon from 1967 to 1979, then later spent over two decades with Tim Robbins, with whom she shares two sons, Miles, 32, and John “Jack” Henry, 35.

She also has a daughter, Eva Amurri, 39, from her past relationship with Franco Amurri.

Recently, Sarandon celebrated Eva’s wedding to Ian Hock, a small and intimate ceremony held in New York on June 29.

Reflecting on the occasion, she expressed how special it was to witness her daughter remarry, particularly with her children involved in the event. “It was a fabulous wedding,” she said. “I think it’s kind of amazing to get married after you already have kids because they were participating and so happy about it. It was very small, intentional, and sweet.”

When it comes to her own romantic future, Sarandon has previously shared that she isn’t actively looking but remains hopeful.

Speaking to PEOPLE in 2021, she mentioned that she’d love to find a travel companion, regardless of gender or age. “I would like to find someone who’s up for an adventure,” she said. “Someone who cares passionately about what they do, whatever that is.”

Though she’s content making memories with her children, she hasn’t entirely ruled out romance. “That window may have closed,” she admitted, “but I’m forever hopeful—just not desperate.”
