DeMar DeRozan and Dillon Brooks’ ongoing rivalry erupted once again in a pair of heated altercations on the basketball court.
But this isnโt the first time the two players have butted heads.
Their rivalry began last year during a game between the Bulls and Rockets.
And recently, during a matchup between the Houston Rockets and the Sacramento Kings, the two players clashed once again, proving that their rivalry is far from resolved.
DeMar DeRozan and Dillon Brooks have a history of altercations.
Last year, while DeRozan was with the Chicago Bulls, he got into a heated physical altercation with Brooks during a regular season game against the Houston Rockets.
The altercation began when DeRozan collided with Jalen Green, and Brooks rushed in to defend his teammate. DeRozan was clearly upset by the interference, and the tension quickly escalated into a physical confrontation
Both players were ejected after the incident.
Post-game, DeRozan expressed his displeasure about being approached from behind, stating, “I don’t play the walking up on somebody when their back is turned. Nah, that’s just not a thing we do.”
Another Clash Between DeRozan and Brooks
The bad blood between the two players resurfaced recently during a game between the Rockets and the Kings.
This time, the incident occurred midway through the third quarter.
DeRozan lost control of the ball and demanded a foul call on Brooks. Brooks wasn’t having it and got right in DeRozan’s face, leading to a heated exchange and Brooks shoving DeRozan.
Their teammates intervened to prevent the situation from escalating further.
A Rivalry That Wonโt Die Down
Despite the attempts to diffuse the situation on the court, itโs clear that the rivalry between DeRozan and Brooks is far from over.
These altercations serve as a reminder of the lingering tension between the two players, and as their teams continue to face off, itโs likely that this fiery competition will continue to boil over.
