Joe Alwyn has arrived in Hollywood for promotional work on his latest film, The Brutalist, and is reportedly eager to reconnect with his ex-girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
Despite Swift having moved on with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, Alwyn, 33, is said to be reflecting on their six-year relationship, which ended in 2023.
While there are no romantic intentions behind his desire to catch up, a source told RadarOnline.com that Alwyn hopes to have an open conversation with Swift. “Initially, the breakup was tough for both of them, filled with hurt feelings. However, things have settled down, at least for Joe,” the source shared.
“They shared six years together, and those memories will always be a part of him. He hopes they can both reflect on their time together positively. For him, the best way to achieve that is by reconnecting and having a heartfelt conversation. This doesnโt imply a romantic revivalโJoe genuinely cares for Taylor and wishes nothing but the best for her. He hopes she feels similarly about him.”
Alwyn Open to Meeting Travis Kelce
While Swift is now in a relationship with Kelce, Alwyn is reportedly open to crossing paths with the NFL star. With Kelceโs growing presence in the entertainment industry, their circles may eventually overlap.
Kelce, 35, has been expanding his career beyond football, taking on hosting roles in television and securing a part in FXโs Grotesquerie, where he plays Ed Laclan. He is also set to appear in Happy Gilmore 2, signaling his increasing involvement in Hollywood.
Meanwhile, Alwyn has been focused on multiple film projects. In addition to The Brutalist, he stars in the adaptation of Hamnet, based on Maggie OโFarrellโs novel, and plays Laertes in Hamlet. His recent Golden Globe recognition for The Brutalist has further solidified his place in the industry.
Although Swift and Alwynโs romantic chapter is in the past, it remains to be seen whether their professional and personal paths will cross once again.
