Milan’s Hunt for the Tenth Signing: Interest in Azmoun and Füllkrug, but now Lukaku is a possibility

Milan’s tenth signing of the season could be in attack: If Colombo Departs, Here Are the Paths Leading to Azmoun and Füllkrug, with the Lukaku Suggestion Also alive

“After the ninth signing, (Marco Pellegrino) expected in Milan in the next few hours, Milan’s transfer market may not be over yet!

The Rossoneri management is reportedly exploring the possibility of making a tenth acquisition this summer, with a particular focus on the attacking department especially with Lorenzo Colombo departing on loan.

With the 21-year-old seemingly on the verge of a move to Monza, Milan’s management is said to be working on several fronts, including on two Bundesliga names, Sardar Azmoun and Niclas Füllkrug, and the intriguing suggestion of Romelu Lukaku, once again proposed by Sebastien Ledure (Lukaku’s agent).

Sardar Azmoun, a 28-year-old Iranian from Bayer Leverkusen, could represent a cost-effective choice for the Rossoneri, with the former Zenit striker priced at just 3-4 million euros.

Another hot name is Niclas Füllkrug, a 30-year-old from Werder Bremen, whose height of 188 cm is appealing to the Rossoneri’s attacking ideas.

The player has scored in double digits in the Bundesliga over the past two seasons (earning the top scorer title in the last edition) and has netted 7 goals in 9 appearances for the German national team.

The third and final name is the most challenging one because it leads to Romelu Lukaku.

Juventus took step back from his pursuit after the clubs couldn’t agree on Vlahovic price. Al Ahli (another club formerly interested in Lukaku) is now focused on Alexandar Mitrovic.

While Chelsea are exploring their options, Sebastien Ledure is knocking on Milan’s door once again, proposing the big Belgian.

However, as emphasized multiple times, Lukaku’s profile doesn’t align with Milan’s wage structure as the striker earns 12 million a year, while Rafael Leao the highest-paid ‘Rossonero’ earns ‘just’ 5 million per season.

To secure Lukaku’s arrival in Milanello, would be one of the market’s biggest surprises, very difficult scenarios would have to unfold, as no real negotiations have taken place until now.

Ledure and Lukaku are hopeful, but the path to ‘San Siro’ would only be viable on a loan deal with a purchase option, exclusively with Chelsea’s willingness to cover half of the Belgian’s salary.

These are truly challenging and difficult requests to fulfill, especially because in recent weeks, the Blues have stopped a deal with Juventus regarding a loan in Turin.
