Taylor Swift was nominated for six Grammys, but ‘sadly’ she attended the awards show solo.
The beautiful Taylor Swift attended the Grammys without her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is currently focused on preparing for the Super Bowl, where his team will face the Philadelphia Eagles next weekend.
As was the case last year, Kelce’s rigorous practice schedule ahead of the big game prevents him from making the trip to the Grammys.
Kelce had previously expressed his desire to support Swift at the awards show, saying last year before missing the 2024 Grammys, “I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for. But unfortunately, I gotta get ready for this big ‘ol Super Bowl that we got in a week.”
This year is no different, as the Chiefs are scheduled to arrive in New Orleans today, making it impossible for him to be in Los Angeles for the event.
Despite his absence, Kelce continues to be a dedicated supporter of Swift. A source told Entertainment Tonight, “Although Travis won’t be at the Grammys, he will be cheering her on, as he always does.”
Swift has been a frequent presence at Chiefs games throughout the playoffs, including at the AFC Championship last weekend. With the Super Bowl just days away, she is expected to be in attendance to support Kelce, just as he does for her.
There has been plenty of speculation surrounding the “T” charm seen dangling on Taylor Swift’s thigh as she arrived on the Grammys red carpet. Many believe it could be a subtle nod to Travis Kelce, though, of course, it could just as easily stand for Taylor herself.
