Carrie Underwood, 41, lives a simple life despite her immense $140M fortune

With an estimated net worth of $140 million, one might assume that Carrie Underwood spares no expense. However, despite her immense fortune, the superstar remains surprisingly reserved

The Grammy winnerโ€”who shares sons Isiah, 9, and Jacob, 5, with husband Mike Fisherโ€”also doesn’t live an extravagant life. She wants to “be active” by taking a walk, or even playing with your kids.

You would expect someone like Carrie Underwood to be a big spender and have a lavish life (in terms of material) but Underwood took to her Instagram stories to share a money-saving trick sheโ€™s been using after realizing how much she was spending on one of her familyโ€™s favorite snacks.

She revealed that she, along with her husband, former NHL player Mike Fisher, and their sons Isaiah and Jacob, are hooked on TruFruโ€”chocolate-covered, freeze-dried fruit. However, she wasnโ€™t thrilled with its steep price tag.

Alongside a photo of a homemade batch, Underwood admitted, โ€œThe TruFru addiction has gotten out of hand at our house. Itโ€™s so dang expensive, so I started making my own.โ€

Not a spender, she has a passion for homegrown living

Underwoodโ€™s cost-conscious habits extend far beyond sweet treats. The American Idol alum owns a sprawling 400-acre ranch in Tennessee, where she grows a variety of produce. She regularly pickles, preserves, and even makes her own yogurt.

Although she has to deal with her hectic schedule, including her Las Vegas Residency, she prioritizes time at home and fully embraces country living whenever she gets the chance.

โ€œMy least favorite part of touring is being away from home,โ€ she admitted to fellow country star Jimmie Allen in an interview with E! News. โ€œDespite living this life, Iโ€™m such a homebody. I donโ€™t like vacations. I donโ€™t like going places. I donโ€™t really like traveling. I want to be at home.โ€

She does her own makeup for concerts

Underwood is also unashamed about her love for couponing. Even with a fortune in the bank, she sees no reason to pass up a good deal.

Another unexpected way she keeps costs down? Doing her own hair and makeup for concerts and events. Unlike many celebrities who rely on professional glam squads, Underwood frequently styles herself before taking the stage.

โ€œI know what works for me,โ€ she once revealed, explaining that she enjoys the process and the sense of control it gives her.

A Balanced Life with Mike Fisher

While Underwood prefers a quiet life at home, her husband Mike Fisher is her social opposite. The retired hockey player thrives in group settings and has a large circle of friends, which Underwood acknowledges helps push her outside her comfort zone.

โ€œI would literally never leave my house,โ€ she admitted on Todayโ€™s Country Radio With Kelleigh Bannen on Apple Music Country. โ€œI get nervous in crowds and in group settings and stuff like that. Heโ€™s got a million friends and weโ€™re always hanging out with them. So yeah, I feel like we balance each other out.โ€

Despite their differences, the couple has found harmony in their marriage, with Fisher bringing out her social side while she keeps him grounded in their family-centered lifestyle.
