Donna Kelce and Taylor Swift warn Travis Kelce ahead of Super Bowl showdown – Video

As Travis Kelce prepares for Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, he’s receiving some advice from two important women in his life—Taylor Swift and his mother, Donna Kelce.

A video shared by The Kansas City Star captured a celebratory moment following the Kansas City Chiefs’ 32-29 victory over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship. On the Arrowhead Stadium field, Kelce, Swift, and Donna Kelce shared an exchange about his upcoming trip to New Orleans.

“Take me back to my old New Orleans home. I owe New Orleans a little something…” Kelce mused to Swift and his mom. Swift, 35, quickly caught on, recalling the 2010 Sugar Bowl, to which Kelce nodded in agreement.

Swift playfully warned him, “Yeah, no going to Bourbon Street,” with Donna echoing the sentiment. Kelce assured them both, “Yeah, I won’t be having as much fun that night,” before pulling Swift close.

After the Chiefs’ latest classic against the Buffalo Bills, it was a familiar scene as Travis Kelce took the mic and spoke directly to the fans. “When you play in front of Arrowhead Stadium like this, every single AFC Championship, you kidding me?” Travis Kelce shouted into the mic. “Kansas Cityyyyyyyy!” Shortly after that scene, Kelce found superstar singer Taylor Swift and the happy couple headed back toward the Chiefs locker room. Kelce’s Past in New Orleans and His Promise to Stay Focused

Kelce, now 35, also joked that he would steer clear of the infamous “hand grenades,” a potent cocktail made with vodka, rum, gin, and melon liqueur.

His reference to New Orleans stems from a past incident in 2010 when he was suspended from the University of Cincinnati football team after testing positive for marijuana. During that time, the Cincinnati Bearcats played against the Florida Gators in the Sugar Bowl, but Kelce was benched due to NCAA regulations.

Reflecting on that time in a 2023 interview with Vanity Fair, Kelce admitted, “I was down in New Orleans, listening to Lil Wayne, and I wanted to smoke what he was smoking.” His suspension left him feeling “embarrassed,” and he even considered quitting football until his brother, Jason Kelce, helped him regain focus.

Celebrations and Super Bowl Expectations

After securing their spot in the Super Bowl, the Chiefs continued their celebrations at an exclusive afterparty at Prime Social. Swift was front and center throughout the game, arriving in a head-to-toe Louis Vuitton look. She was seen cheering enthusiastically, hugging her mother, Andrea Swift, and Donna Kelce as the Chiefs scored key touchdowns.

Once the game ended, Swift joined Kelce on the field, where they shared affectionate moments, including celebratory hugs and kisses. The couple, who have been together since the summer of 2023, looked deeply in love as they celebrated with the team and their families.

An insider revealed to Page Six that at the afterparty, “Taylor and Travis were dancing together and clearly very much in love. They were kissing and looked so happy together. Everybody seemed like they had a great time.”

With Super Bowl LIX set for February 9, both Swift’s and Kelce’s families are expected to attend and support the Chiefs in their championship game. As Kelce gears up for the big event, Swift and Donna Kelce’s words of wisdom may just help him stay focused on the prize.
