Speaking Monday, President Trump declared, “As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders—male and female.”

The President is expected to sign an executive order targeting transgender rights, including restrictions on access to medical care and participation in sports competitions. Four years ago, on his first day in office, Joe Biden signed an executive order aimed at safeguarding individuals from discrimination based on gender identity or sexual orientation. President Trump now plans to reverse that decision.
