Melania Trump makes a landmark decision as Donald Trump prepares for second term

ย President-elect Donald Trump will be inaugurated on Monday, January 20

Melania Trump has announced her readiness to return to the White House as her husband prepares to begin his second term as President. During an interview on Fox & Friends with Ainsley Earhardt, she shared her plans for the future.

โ€œI will be in the White House,โ€ she stated. โ€œAnd when I need to be in New York, I will be in New York. When I need to be in Palm Beach, I will be in Palm Beach. But my first priority is to be a mom, to be a First Lady, to be a wife. And once we are in on January 20, you serve the country.โ€

Melania Trump did not move into the White House until five months into Donald Trumpโ€™s first term in 2017, prioritizing her son Barron, who was then her main focus. Now 18 years old, Barron resides in New York City while studying at NYUโ€™s Stern School of Business.

Melania also shared that during the familyโ€™s first term in the White House, she felt โ€œnot acceptedโ€ and believed she lacked โ€œmuch supportโ€ in her role as First Lady.

This time, Melania Trump revealed she feels more confident in her role.

โ€œMaybe some people, they see me as just a wife of the president, but Iโ€™m standing on my own two feet, independent,โ€ the 54-year-old former model shared. โ€œI have my own thoughts. I have my own yes and no. I donโ€™t always agree with what my husband is saying or doing. And thatโ€™s OK.โ€
