Ivanka Trump has officially stepped away from politics.
As Donald Trump prepares for his inauguration on January 20, Ivanka, his eldest daughter, has confirmed she will not return to the White House for his potential second term as President.
Speaking on the Skinny Confidential Him & Her Show podcast with hosts Lauryn and Michael Bosstick on January 13, Ivanka explained her decision: “I know the cost, and it’s a price that I’m not willing to make my kids bear.”
During her father’s first presidency from 2017 to 2021, the 43-year-old and her husband, Jared Kushner, both held senior advisor roles. The couple, who share three children—Arabella (13), Joseph (10), and Theodore (8)—played pivotal roles in the administration, balancing their public service with family life.
While Ivanka’s brothers, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, as well as her half-sister Tiffany Trump (whose mother is Marla Maples), supported their father’s campaigns, they did not take on formal roles within his administration. Ivanka’s departure signals a shift in priorities, with her focus firmly on her family.
What are Melania’s plans
Melania Trump has shared her plans for life as First Lady if her husband, Donald Trump, returns to the White House.
The 54-year-old revealed in a recent Fox & Friends interview that she intends to move into the White House as soon as her husband is sworn in. However, she also foresees spending time in New York City, where their son, Barron Trump, is currently a freshman at NYU’s Stern School of Business.
“When I need to be in New York, I will be in New York,” Melania explained, referencing the family’s residences in Trump Tower and Florida’s Mar-a-Lago Club. “When I need to be in Palm Beach, I will be in Palm Beach.”
