Why Queen Camilla stopped wearing Melania Trump’s lavish brooch after White House visit

Queen Camilla’s decision to stop wearing a luxury brooch gifted to her by Melania Trump during a recent White House visit quickly drew attention online, with some observers questioning whether the move carried a deeper meaning.

The Queen, 78, was seen wearing the Tiffany & Co. brooch during the farewell portion of her visit to Washington alongside King Charles III. The vintage piece, reportedly valued at $40,700, had been gifted to her by First Lady Melania Trump and featured a floral diamond design surrounded by rubies.

But shortly afterward, Camilla changed accessories before attending a visit to Arlington National Cemetery, replacing the Tiffany brooch with a Cartier piece featuring both the Union Jack and the American flag.

The quick change sparked speculation among some royal watchers, though an astrology expert believes the explanation may be far more personal than political.

Astrologer points to Camilla’s personality traits

Speaking to Express US, astrologer Inbaal Honigman explained that Queen Camilla’s zodiac sign may help explain why the switch should not be viewed as a rejection of Melania Trump’s gift.

According to Honigman, Camilla’s Cancer traits suggest she places greater emotional value on relationships and personal connections than on material possessions themselves.

“Friendships matter to them, not possessions,” the astrologer explained while describing typical Cancerian qualities.

Honigman also noted that people born under the Cancer sign often hold sentimental attachments privately rather than displaying them publicly at all times. She added that Camilla likely appreciated both the gesture and the meaning behind the present, regardless of whether she continued wearing it throughout the visit.

Different approaches to gifts and sentiment

The astrologer also compared Camilla’s personality traits with those commonly associated with Melania Trump’s Taurus sign.

According to Honigman, Taurus personalities often value elegance, stability, and luxury items, while Cancerians tend to focus more heavily on emotional bonds and close personal circles.

Rather than viewing the jewelry change as a snub, the astrologer suggested it reflected two very different approaches to sentiment and gift-giving.

Honigman ultimately insisted that the Tiffany brooch had “not been forgotten or discarded,” adding that Queen Camilla would likely continue to value the personal meaning attached to the gift long after the visit ended.
