Moussa was born in Moscow in May 1982. She is 44, while Gutfeld, who was born in September 1964, is approximately 18 years older.
Despite being married to a well-known television host, Moussa has maintained a private public profile and rarely shares details about her relationship online.
Their unexpected meeting in Portugal
Moussa and Gutfeld met during a professional trip to Portugal in 2004.
She was working as a photo editor for Maxim Russia at the time, while Gutfeld was editor-in-chief of the magazine’s UK edition.
During an appearance on Bill Maher’s Club Random podcast, Gutfeld recalled feeling an immediate certainty about Moussa.
“I met her and I go, ‘Oh, that’s my wife,’” he said. “I just knew it. And then I spent three days in Portugal trying to talk to her.”
Their relationship progressed quickly. Five months after meeting, they exchanged vows during a civil ceremony in New York.
Gutfeld has said he knew Moussa was the woman he would marry from the moment he first saw her.
When their relationship began, Gutfeld was living in London. Moussa moved there to join him, and the couple remained in Britain until his contract with the UK edition of Maxim ended in 2006.
They then relocated to the United States and now live together in New York City.
The couple offers few public glimpses into their marriage. Even Gutfeld’s unusual wedding-ring placement, however, has a simple explanation.
He wears the ring on his middle finger because he lost weight after marrying Moussa, leaving the band too loose for his ring finger.
Elena and Greg welcome their daughter
After two decades of marriage, Moussa and Gutfeld welcomed their first child in December 2024.
Their daughter, Mira, was introduced to viewers through an announcement Gutfeld made on The Five.
“It is with great joy that my wife Elena and I have welcomed a baby girl into the world,” he said. “Mira is healthy with a real set of lungs.”
The host joked that Mira inherited “Elena’s beautiful eyes” and his “rock-hard abs.”
He also teased his colleague Jesse Watters by claiming the newborn had already asked whether Watters wore a toupée. Gutfeld said he told her that Watters “definitely wears a wig.”

After sharing the lighthearted announcement, Gutfeld emphasized that he and Moussa intended to protect their daughter’s privacy.
“As you can understand, we value our privacy, and we thank everyone for the good wishes,” he said.
Moussa and Gutfeld have continued keeping information about Mira private, following the same approach they have taken throughout their marriage.
From her fashion career to her life with Gutfeld and their new role as parents, Moussa has remained independent and accomplished while largely avoiding the attention surrounding her husband’s television career.
