Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s reported wedding plans are continuing to attract attention, with a new report suggesting the couple has selected one of New York City’s most recognizable venues for their upcoming ceremony.
According to Page Six, multiple sources claim that Madison Square Garden has been chosen as the location where the singer and NFL star intend to exchange vows during the July 3 holiday weekend.
One source told the outlet that guests and staff involved have been instructed to keep details confidential, while a representative for the venue did not comment on the report.
A New York Celebration Takes Shape
Page Six reports that privacy played a central role in the couple’s decision-making process, with a source stating that it was the top priority for both Swift and Kelce.
The publication previously reported that the pair, both 36, are planning to marry in New York City over Independence Day weekend. While official details have not been publicly confirmed, speculation surrounding the event has intensified as reports continue to emerge about potential guests and preparations.
Among the names reportedly expected to attend are several of Swift’s longtime friends and collaborators, including the Haim sisters, Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Ed Sheeran, Zoë Kravitz and Suki Waterhouse. Page Six also reported that actor Miles Teller and his wife, Keleigh Sperry, were not included among the invited guests following an apparent falling out.
Swift’s Long History With the City
The reported venue choice would carry particular significance given Swift’s longstanding connection to both New York City and Madison Square Garden.
The singer has performed at the arena numerous times throughout her career, including appearances during her Fearless and Speak Now tours, as well as multiple performances at Z100’s annual Jingle Ball concerts.
Swift’s ties to New York extend well beyond the stage. She has owned multiple properties in Tribeca, temporarily lived on Cornelia Street during renovations, and famously celebrated the city through her song “Welcome to New York.”
Her relationship with the city also included serving as New York City’s Global Welcome Ambassador between 2014 and 2015, with her music featured in tourism campaigns during that period.
Increased Attention Ahead of the Holiday Weekend
Recent sightings of Swift and Kelce around Manhattan have only added to public interest. The couple was seen dining at local establishments including Or’esh and Via Carota last month, prompting speculation that wedding planning activities may have been underway.
The reported event would take place during an already busy period for New York City. Independence Day celebrations, America’s 250th anniversary events, the NBA Finals and a World Cup match at MetLife Stadium are all scheduled around the same weekend.
During remarks about security preparations for the holiday period, New York Police Department Commissioner Jessica Tisch jokingly referenced the possibility of a Taylor Swift wedding before immediately clarifying that she was kidding.
If the reports prove accurate, Swift and Kelce would join a list of high-profile celebrity couples who have chosen New York City as the setting for their weddings, including Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, and Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas.
The couple reportedly became engaged in August 2025, though neither Swift nor Kelce has publicly commented on the latest wedding venue reports.
