Sean Duffy and Rachel Campos-Duffy have spent more than 25 years together, and a resurfaced conversation from their former podcast offered a playful glimpse into the longtime couple’s marriage.
The U.S. Secretary of Transportation and the Fox News host discussed music and relationships during an episode of From the Kitchen Table: The Duffys, the podcast they hosted between 2021 and 2024.
During the exchange, Rachel revealed that she and Sean have their own playlist reserved for romantic moments.
Sean had been talking about the connection that can come from sharing similar tastes in music when Rachel jumped into the conversation.
“It bonds [people] when you share musical interests, I think it brings people closer together. We have a…” Sean said.
Rachel finished the thought with a laugh.
“We have a get in the mood playlist,” she said. “Let’s not lie about that. We have our love playlist.”
A playful look inside their marriage
The couple also revealed one of the artists featured on the playlist.
“There’s a little Sade on there, I love Sade,” Rachel said.
Sean responded with a joke of his own, saying: “I put up with Sade.”
The lighthearted back-and-forth showed the relaxed dynamic Sean and Rachel were willing to share publicly during their years hosting the podcast together.
The old clip recently resurfaced on X after being shared by the account @FactPostNews, where it attracted more than 214,000 views.
The renewed attention placed the couple’s candid podcast conversation back in the spotlight years after it was originally recorded.
More than two decades together
Sean and Rachel’s relationship stretches back to the late 1990s.
The pair met in 1998 while appearing on MTV’s Road Rules: All Stars and married the following year.
Since their 1999 wedding, Sean and Rachel have welcomed nine children together.
Their shared media work later included From the Kitchen Table: The Duffys, where the husband and wife discussed a range of topics together from 2021 until 2024.
Another clip from the podcast that resurfaced online featured Sean discussing actress Sydney Sweeney and his broader views about attraction between men and women.
“If we’re honest, men appreciate women. And men that appreciate women are not toxic,” Sean said.
He continued: “God made us a certain way… [he made us] to appreciate and want to mate with a woman.”
Sean added: “And women are made to want to be with a man. I think Sydney Sweeney is just a reminder that men are still men. And women are still women and that’s okay.”
