White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is continuing to share moments from life at home as she spends time with her growing family during maternity leave.
The 28-year-old recently posted a series of updates on social media that offered followers a look at her daily routine following the birth of her daughter, Viviana, who arrived on May 1.
One post featured a morning coffee accompanied by a message reflecting the realities of caring for a newborn.
“Morning coffee hits different after a night with a newborn,” Leavitt wrote alongside a mug displaying the words, “God is with her, she will not fall.”

The update provided one of the clearest glimpses yet into Leavitt’s life away from the White House as she adjusts to being a mother of two.
Another video showed a cheerful breakfast moment with her son, Niko, as the pair prepared blueberry pancakes together.

Leavitt could be heard encouraging her toddler as he carefully dropped blueberries into pancake batter while helping make breakfast.
She captioned the family clip simply: “Pancake time!”
Leavitt has been away from her duties as White House Press Secretary since April 24 while on maternity leave. Federal employees are entitled to 12 weeks of maternity leave, and several administration figures have helped fill responsibilities during her absence, including Marco Rubio, Vice President JD Vance, and Dr. Oz.
While temporarily away from the briefing room, Leavitt has continued to keep supporters updated through regular family-focused social media posts.
One recent update featured a photograph of the press secretary holding her newborn child, accompanied by the message: “What a beautiful day. I hope everyone is having a great weekend.”
Family outing draws attention from supporters
Alongside the snapshots from home, Leavitt also shared photos from a family visit to one of Washington’s most recognizable landmarks.
She, her husband Nicholas Riccio, and their children visited the Lincoln Memorial area to view the newly refurbished reflecting pool.
“We took a family trip to the Lincoln Monument tonight to check out the new reflecting pool. Absolutely stunning,” Leavitt wrote on X.

She added: “DC is so beautiful again, just in time for our Nation’s 250th. Thank you, President Trump!!”
The renovation project includes repairs to walkways and surrounding stonework, along with a new blue coating intended to prevent leaks in the pool.
The family photos quickly attracted supportive responses online, with several users praising both the update and Leavitt’s growing family. Others used the opportunity to express how much they missed seeing her conduct White House briefings and asked when she planned to return to the podium.
For now, however, Leavitt appears focused on enjoying time with her husband, son, and newborn daughter as she navigates the early weeks of motherhood while away from her high-profile role in Washington.
A new Snap with the little one
On Sunday, July 7, Karoline shared another Instagram Story featuring her baby daughter.
While she still hasn’t revealed the little one’s face, the love and joy of motherhood are clear to see.

In the photo, the youngest White House Press Secretary is seen at home wearing a red dress with white horizontal stripes while holding her daughter in front of a mirror. She captioned the sweet moment: “Me & my girl!! ❤️”
The Leavitt family has been celebrating a special new chapter since welcoming Viviana, and the arrival of their daughter has made their growing family even bigger.
