Joke of the day: Morris leaves a will

Morris had passed away, and his family gathered in the lawyer’s office for the reading of his last will and testament.

The room was quiet as the lawyer adjusted his glasses and began reading.

“To my beloved wife, Esther, I leave the house, 150 acres of land, and one million dollars.”

Esther nodded softly, dabbing her eyes with a tissue.

“To my son, Barry, I bequeath my Big Lexus and my brand-new Jaguar.”

Barry sat up a little straighter, trying to hide a satisfied smile.

“To my daughter, Shirley, I leave my yacht and $250,000.”

Shirley smiled, already picturing herself cruising out on the water.

The lawyer paused, glanced down at the page, and continued.

“And to my brother-in-law, Aaron…”

Aaron leaned forward eagerly, hands clasped.

“…who always insisted that health is more valuable than wealth…”

Aaron smiled proudly and nodded, clearly pleased with himself.

“…I leave my treadmill.”

The room went completely silent.

Barry looked over at Shirley, trying not to laugh. Esther lowered her head to hide a smile.

Aaron blinked, confused, then slowly sat back in his chair.

The lawyer cleared his throat and added,
“Mr. Morris also included a note: ‘Figured you’d finally have no excuse not to use it.’”
