Fox News contributor Jessica Tarlov has revealed that President Donald Trump once surprised her with an unexpected Christmas present, sharing the story while explaining why she has no interest in developing a friendly relationship with him.
Although Tarlov said she has never met Trump in person, she disclosed that he once sent her customized “Trump 2028” hats as a holiday gift, complete with a personal message.
The revelation came during an appearance on MeidasTouch’s On Sunday with Jack Cocchiarella, where the longtime The Five co-host discussed politics, her role at Fox News and her views on the president.
An Unexpected Holiday Surprise
During the interview, host Jack Cocchiarella asked Tarlov about her relationship with Trump, noting that the president has previously called for her dismissal.
Tarlov responded by explaining that the two have never actually met and that she has no plans to change that.
Even so, she revealed that Trump once arranged for a personalized Christmas gift to be sent to her.
According to Tarlov, the package contained customized “Trump 2028” hats along with a message thanking her for what he described as her “great support.”
She acknowledged that she understood the gesture was intended to be humorous.
“For Christmas, for instance, he customized Trump 2028 hats for me,” she said, adding that the message thanked her for her “great support.”
While discussing the gift, Tarlov made it clear that it did not alter her views or her approach toward the president.
She described the present as “funny for a cheap laugh” but said she remains “not really interested in palling around or playing nice.”
Tarlov added that she believes Trump will do everything within his power to remain in office for as long as possible, referencing comments about former White House adviser Steve Bannon during the conversation.
Her remarks formed part of a broader discussion about politics, media and her experience working at Fox News.
Reflecting on Her Role at Fox News
Tarlov also spoke about life behind the scenes at The Five, where she serves alongside several conservative co-hosts.
Discussing Jesse Watters, she noted that the two have known each other for years and described their relationship as long-standing, complicated and, at times, frustrating.
She later joked about their on-air dynamic, saying, “I’m gentle with my toddlers, and I’m gentle with my Jesse,” before adding that she views him as “an enormous toddler.”
Despite receiving an unusual Christmas gift from a president she has never met, Tarlov said she has no interest in changing her stance or cultivating a personal relationship with Donald Trump.
Her comments offered a rare glimpse into an unexpected exchange between the Fox News contributor and the president while reinforcing her position on maintaining professional and political distance.
