The Nerazzurri have informed Napoli about the ongoing negotiation for the Polish player, who has been excluded from the Champions League list.
Inter has closed the January transfer window just as they opened it, signing Buchanan. This was the goal set by the Nerazzurri executives to replace Cuadrado, and they’ve achieved it. Agoumรฉ has left, and the transfer of Sensi to England fell through. However, the winter transfer window has given Inter the opportunity to plan ahead and secure two signings that will be official next summer: Taremi and Zielinski. Similar to what was done with Porto last week for the Iranian striker, Inter have also informed Napoli about the ongoing negotiation with the Polish midfielder, whose contract with Napoli is expiring. This is a formal step before medical examinations and the actual signing.
INTER-ZIELINSKI, THE DETAILS: According to Gazetta dello Sport, Zielinski will sign a four-year deal (possibly a 3+1, agreement until 2027 with an option for 2028), with a salary of โฌ4.5 million plus bonuses. The confirmation of the agreement between Inter and Zielinski will likely come in February, probably after the Champions League match against Atletico Madrid.
NAPOLI, ZIELINSKI EXCLUDED FROM THE UEFA LIST: Zielinski is officially excluded from Napoli’s European squad. This is a surprising choice, considering his first team status. He started all six group stage matches in the Champions League. However, he will be absent in the upcoming round of 16 clashes against Barcelona.
