The attacking midfielder, in the extensive interview given to Sportweek, spoke about Milan and his relationship with the former owner Silvio Berlusconi.

Andrea Colpani is one of the players who are standing out in Serie A right now. Monza’s attacking midfielder has given a lengthy interview to Sportweek. Among other things discussed, Colpani revealed his childhood favorite team: ‘As a kid I used to be a Milan fan

“On his relationship with Silvio Berlusconi: ‘I will always be grateful to the president. When I talk about him, I get emotional. He has always been kind to me. He used to say that I was his favorite. He greeted everyone with a ‘hello’ and a handshake, but when he came to me he always said my name: ‘Hello, Colpani.’

Special compliments from the legendary President? Not much: after a good performance, he would just tell me to keep doing what I was doing. He and Dr. Galliani always had faith in me.’

THE SPECIAL PICTURE

‘I met him in 2005. My uncle has an advertising agency that works with Milan and Inter, so he always had tickets and the best seats for the games. One time he took me and my best friend to San Siro for a Milan game. I think they were playing against Cagliari. As we sat in box, next to us, we see Berlusconi. My uncle took us by the hand and brought us to him: ‘Presidente, can we have a photo with the kids?’ Then he made us sit on his lap, and my uncle took the picture.'”
