Who creates most chances in Europe? Dimarco 12th, he is the best in Serie A: The full list

The last report from CIES, the football observatory that has compiled a list of players who create the most goal-scoring opportunities in the top 5 European leagues.

There are 9 players from Serie A in the ranking, but only one of them makes it into the top 20. And the absolute specialist is Federico Dimaro

As demonstrated by the CIES (the International Centre for Sports Studies) with a detailed study on players who create the most opportunities on average since the beginning of the season. Among defenders, there is no one better in the whole world compared to the 26-year-old.

The list is dominated by Ousmane Dembรฉlรฉ, who leads with 2.36, despite still being goalless so far with Paris Saint-Germain, indicating his untapped potential. Behind him on the global podium are Leroy Sanรฉ of Bayern Munich and Nico Williams of Athletic Bilbao.

DIMARCO’S RECORD

There are two reasons that draws attention to the name of Dimarco: one related to his position and another to the league. The Inter wing, in fact, holds the 16th position in a ranking that is understandably dominated by offensive players: wingers, forwards, attacking midfielders, and so on.

Among defenders, no one in the world creates more opportunities than him (an index of 1.59), he is followed by Kieran Trippier of Newcastle United (23rd place overall).

In Serie A, there is simply no player who surpasses Dimarco’s performances. Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi is in second place, who stops at 1.34 per game ahead of Lazio’s Felipe Anderson at 1.29.

Considering that Denzel Dumfries is in fourth place in the Italian league (1.25), it is not surprising that one of the keys to Inter’s leadership lies in the flanks of Simone Inzaghi‘s team.

This is how the best players from Serie A are ranked, and then the overall top 20.
