The president De Laurentiis is ready to change the coach; today the first contacts with Tudor. Mazzarri and Fabio Cannavaro are only being considered at the moment.
Here we go again. As after the last international break, Aurelio De Laurentiis finds himself evaluating the coach who will replace Garcia on Napoli’s bench. Indeed, the home defeat against Empoli effectively marked the end of the relationship between the Frenchman and the Blues.
ADL hoped for resignations that probably won’t come. Hence, it’s easy to imagine an imminent dismissal, taking advantage of the international break to allow the new coach to begin instilling aspects of his football. Today there is a scheduled meeting with Igor Tudor.
NAPOLI, WHO TO REPLACE GARCIA?
There will be a sort of interim solution, following Conte’s refusal, with the president attempting to shake things up. The choice to keep Garcia was made only because someone in De Laurentiis’s inner circle convinced him it was better to keep the coach than rely on a caretaker. Now, ADL will decide alone, as he has always done when choosing the coach.
TUDOR TO REPLACE GARCIA?
With the Conte target now gone, it’s highly likely that the president will opt for a caretaker, especially since there is a strong desire to start the next season with a project-oriented coach, a kind of Sarri 2.0. The name is already known: Francesco Farioli, the young standout who is having an incredible season with French side Nice so far.
In the meantime, they need to focus on a coach who is available and willing to stake his future, knowing that it could last only a few months. The name ADL is targeting is Igor Tudor: a meeting has already beenscheduled for today.
Among the candidates are also Fabio Cannavaro, present at Maradona with his brother and a deep connoisseur of the environment, and Walter Mazzarri, the coach who first, during ADL’s tenure, led Napoli to the upper echelons of the standings. Tudor, however, is currently the frontrunner.”
